Blog Schmog

It seems like these days, everyone has a blog. I, myself, have attempted to maintain two other blogs about my family and handiwork (i.e. lofty attempts to share pictures of my children & to create and feed my Pinterest addiction). As it happens, life got in the way and the blogs have been temporarily abandoned although continue to float in cyberspace. You may be wondering why I have, yet again, started a new blog. Well, remember the life I mentioned? Part of my life has been returning to school as a doctoral student in the reading department at Texas Woman’s University.

I have successfully completed 12 credits and am starting my second year (please don’t ask me when I graduate because, really, I have no idea – it is one day, one class at a time at this point). I am currently enrolled in two courses, one being Literature for Children and Young Adults. As a requirement for the course, I have created this blog to post book reviews for the many books we will be reading.

Reading is an important part of my life –not only professionally but personally as books can be found throughout my home. If I am a collector of anything, it would be children’s books. I just can’t seem to part with them! Perhap this blog will prove to be an opportunity to share my reading life with others and my hope is you may find a great read for yourself or to share with someone you love...
